The property was just as beautiful as described and pictured! Our family of two teens, two adults, two grandparents, and our Australian Shepherd had plenty of space and amenities to please everyone. We stayed during Christmas, and the cabin was perfectly decorated with a lovely tree, lights, and greenery. We enjoyed the gorgeous yard, screened porch, fireplace, hot tub, game table, fire pit, and incredible water view. We made most meals together in the well-equipped kitchen. We highly recommend this property!

We had a good time here. The host was very friendly and helpful. Very chill and cozy vibe. Being on the river is so peaceful. Plenty of space in the backyard to throw the ball around with the dogs. Everything was clean and neat when we arrived. Hot tub was clean. Pretty much anything you could need in the kitchen for cooking was there. The property was relatively private. Woods on one side; house on the other, but not too close. There was another house across the river and far enough away. Both houses were empty for the weekend. We felt tucked away enough from the big city, but close enough to civilization.

Beautiful cabin tucked on a corner of the Taccoa river, it was indeed a relaxing getaway for busy group of friends. Extremely worth it for this little gem. If you're debating about taking a trip to the mountains, do it, and this cabin was amazing!

We had a wonderful weekend at Bigfoot's River Retreat. We saw so many animals! We even saw trout flipping out of the water and a little otter sunning on a rock! We will definitely be back here in the summer time when we can enjoy the river more.

Really enjoyed my time here!! Lovely high quality cabin, comfy furniture/beds, good water pressure. Guests should know that the third bedroom is a basement and you cannot access it unless you go outside/down stairs, or through another person's bedroom. Guests who are staying in the basement (two twin beds) can only access a bathroom through another guest's bedroom. Also one of the bedrooms is a loft with no door and therefore everything can be heard. I do wish I would have understood that better before booking. But, overall this cabin is PERFECT for a couple. The hot tub and view is awesome. It's not totally private, but it's a very quiet area. Getting to Blue Ridge is quick and easy. The hosts are very conscientious/communicative and offer great local recommendations. Amenities are decent (there was not any shampoo, cooking spray/oil, water filter for well water, or tinfoil - which would have been ideal). Would stay here again if it was just two of us.
